En la noche, en un rincón apartado y oscuro, una pequeña luz proyecta una silueta humana en el fondo del rincón. Las pupilas se mueven de manera espasmódica arriba y abajo en unos ojos inflamados y vidriosos. De repente, la luz desaparece y un segundo después, un golpe seco y estridente le hace reaccionar. Sus ojos quedan quietos por primera vez en mucho tiempo.
Una vez desconectado de su jaula de estímulos permanece largo rato mirando atónito el horizonte, su mente empieza a funcionar de nuevo a medida que procesa la visiones de todo lo que hay a su alrededor y que, tiempo atrás, fue su campo de acción pero que ahora le resultan irreconocibles. Un sin fin de preguntas y recuerdos simultáneos le sacuden el cerebro. Esta sucesión de ideas bloquea toda capacidad de acción hasta que toma consciencia de su cuerpo y de su mente y se pregunta: ¿Cuánto tiempo llevo aquí?

At night, in a secluded, dark corner, a small light casts a human silhouette in the background of the corner. The pupils move spasmodically up and down in inflamed, glassy eyes. Suddenly, the light disappears, and a second later, a sharp, jarring thud jolts him into action. His eyes are still for the first time in a long time.
Once disconnected from his cage of stimuli, he stares for a long time at the horizon, his mind begins to work again as he processes the visions of everything around him that, some time ago, was his field of action but that are now unrecognizable to him. An endless stream of questions and similar memories shake his brain. This succession of ideas blocks all capacity for action until he becomes aware of his body and mind and asks himself: How long have I been here?
